Amelie’s lion design was entered into a competition that was organised by her college, City of Portsmouth. Students and teachers were asked to vote for their favourite design. She feels incredibly honoured that she won!
“Musical Memories” is inspired by her most treasured memories of Portsmouth. She has attended events such as the kite festival, Southsea firework display, Victorious and other music gigs at Guildhall since she was a little girl.
She love how these events bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to create beautiful long-lasting memories. For this reason, she has incorporated these into her design. She also added some roses to represent the rose gardens in Southsea, as this is one of her favourite places to visit, especially when the roses are in bloom.
