HOPE the lion will be co-created with the local community during interactive creative doodle workshops and inspired by the theme of Hope. Participants will be encouraged to doodle, write, and share ideas, drawing upon personal experiences, reflecting upon what hope looks like in Portsmouth today and sharing messages for others.
The final artwork will be shaped by the voices, marks, and stories of the community, including: Spark Community Space, Motiva8, The Parenting Network, Pompey in the Community, and Politely Rebellious CIC, along with the wider communities they support.
Bearers connected to the Baton of Hope are also invited to contribute to the project, bringing lived experience and deeper context to the work.
