Portsmouth roars with excitement as Aspex lion exhibition wows visitors

Portsmouth is getting ready to roar this summer! The recent lion exhibition at Aspex Portsmouth drew big crowds and glowing feedback, as residents came to explore the vibrant shortlisted designs for this year’s Pride of Portsmouth art trail.

The exhibition brought all of the shortlisted lion designs together in one place, showcasing a brilliant mix of artists and styles. From designs inspired by Portsmouth’s heritage, to creations celebrating identity, community and creativity, the display reflected the diverse voices that make our Portsmouth so special.

Thanks to its huge success, the exhibition will return this summer. This time at Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery, running Monday 13 July to Monday 31 August to coincide with the launch of the Pride of Portsmouth trail.
